American Corner Biratnagar was established in partnership and close cooperation between The U.S. Embassy in Kathmandu and the Chamber of Industries, Morang, in September 2003. The American Corner Biratnagar was launched on 8 February 2004. The American Corner shares the story of the United States and helps individuals expand their general knowledge, and skills and understand American society, culture, and values. An important mission of American Corners is to build bridges of understanding between the people of the United States of America and Nepal.
The Objectives of the American Corner Biratnagar are to provide library facilities and free information to the students, Professionals, and the general public about the United States through books, magazines, CD-ROMs, and complimentary access to the Internet.
