Kirtipur Hospital was formally established in 2006, after the successful People’s Movement, phent-NEPAL used to organize a community health development program (CHDP) under the Kathmandu Model Hospital (KMH) in the then Kirtipur Village Development Committee. 

Today, Kirtipur Hospital operates as a full-fledged hospital with 100 beds and a range of specialized services. phect-NEPAL has the vision to build its 300-bed general hospital with many specialist and super-specialist services. Burn and Plastic is now one of KPH's super special services. A regional teaching hospital, the KPH has introduced various types of services at free or subsidized rates, especially for the benefit of the poor and vulnerable.

KPH also hosts interns, scholars, and interns from various national and international universities and academies. Kirtipur Hospital has closely linked with Kirtipur Municipality. The Hospital provides the following preventive, and curative services to stop its service-holders:
